Our Chemical Free Laundry
We used to rely on commercial detergents and softeners, but those days are in the past! These are what we rely on:
✔︎ 618 Scallop powder
The powder turns into alkaline (PH12) after dissolving in water and has strong cleaning and disinfecting power. It also has deodorizing and antibacterial effects which helps keep your clothes refreshing after washing!
✔︎ Guppy Friend Washing Bag
Use this bag to prevent microfibers from your nylon and fleece products entering into rivers and oceans. Also check the labels of other products; for example, many stuffed animals uses synthetic fiber. This is a must-have for the entire year!
✔︎ ULAT Dryer Balls
An excellent product for those of you who do use the drying machine. Simply put these in your dryer along with your wet clean clothes. It can decrease wrinkles and static in clothes therefore less to zero time ironing and it also decreases drying time by up to 50% therefore decreasing energy use and cost. It is a natural alternative to using chemically made commercial dryer sheets.
This was an example of what we do in our household; there are other chemical-free products that you can try! Find something that works for you; either way, you will be helping your skin and the planet at the same time!
