FUKUNOTANE | Plant Seeds, Make Clothes Vol. 4
A one-year project to enjoy the process of making clothes.
What is “Fuku no Tane” project?
This project is about growing and making your own seeds for clothes; in this case, organic cotton - which is one of the raw materials for making clothes. This project is about learning the manufacturing and the production background from raw materials to clothes through the entire process. This time, the final product will be "canvas sneakers."
Last time we planted the 10 cotton seeds and saw some sprout. Now it is time to move them to the planter!

It’s been SO hot so even if I water them in the morning, when I am back home from work in the evening, the soil is already dried and they don’t look too well. So I water them in the evening too and that seems to help as they look more happy and thriving in the morning!
Working with this heat really isn’t easy.

It’s continued to be very hot in Tokyo so I’ve been watering them 2 times a day, depending on how dried the soil is. Looking much taller now! I think I need to get a pillar soon but what types to get?
