[WORKSHOP REPORT] ANTIQUE KIMONO UPCYCLE WORKSHOP VOL. 1
Here is a report of the workshop we had on May 17th!
For the first workshop, we made a kimono patchwork cushion!
The two and a half hours went by quickly; from choosing kimono fabric patterns to finishing the cushion covers by hand sewing!
g to y design and Borderless Creations have always wanted to collaborate to create upcycling workshops!
Upcycling refers to “the process of creating value by taking unwanted items that are no longer needed and giving them new forms instead of discarding them”.
We aim to hold workshops where participants can enjoy using antique kimonos that have existed in Japan for a long time and revive them in various forms.
Isn’t everyone’s smiling faces wonderful?
Thank you to everyone who participated! Workshop Vol. 2 will be coming in the fall!
