In Japan, “Tsuyu” season’s almost over and now Typhoon and “Yudachi” season’s starting. 

It’s getting harder and harder to predict the weather these years and it sometimes makes me anxious to hang the laundry outside. In those days, I use the tumble dryer and when using the tumble dryer, “ULAT dryer balls” are a must for me.

So today, I’m writing about “ULAT dryer balls” which are available at Borderless Creations.

So how are these balls used? 

It’s simple. Toss the 3 balls into the tumble dryer with your washed wet laundry and hit the “start” button. That’s all. 

Then voilà! The drying time is decreased, and energy saved! 

My tumble dryer’s not working well and sometimes it takes 4 hours to dry.

However, when using the tumble dryer with the ULAT dryer balls, it takes around 3 hours or less, which saves at least an hour!

ULAT dryer balls are capable of decreasing 50% drying time, so depending on the tumble dryer your using, it can save even much more energy!

What’s more, ULAT dryer balls are:

This is how I do my laundry:

In order to avoid micro-plastic pollution,

1: Wash clothes using “GUPPYFRIEND” Washing bag”

2: [When using tumble dryer]Hang clothes that are plastic fabric, and tumble dry natural fabric clothes with ULAT dryer balls.

※Tumble drying plastic fabric leads to micro-plastic pollution.

Don’t WASH the ULAT dryer ball

You might have realized looking at the first picture…yes, the purple ball is small. This is because I forgot to take out the purple ball out of the washing machine and washed the ball by accident. 

The purple ball got smaller but with the other 2 balls, the drying time didn’t change. But please be careful not to leave the balls in the washing machine when you use the machine to “wash”. 

I have used the ULAT dryer balls(the picture ones) for around a year now and it’s still working great! I mostly hang my laundry outside and I use the tumble dryer only a couple of times a month. Depending on the frequency of using the tumble dryer(= using ULAT dryer balls), you can use the one set for a loooong time.

Saves energy, cute and natural. I think ULAT dryer ball makes laundry a fun fun chore♪
