BRAND STORY

Necessity is the mother of invention.

With this proverb, CoffeSock was founded in 2011 to bring sustainable products into the daily rituals of the coffee community.

Inspired by a backpacking trip to Costa Rica in 2004 and the traditional coffee drip method of "choréador," CoffeeSock began making fiberless cloth filters when they ran out of their own CHEMEX paper filters. CoffeeSock was started when they ran out of their CHEMEX paper filters.
The performance was so good that it inspired them to create a filter model for many common coffee brewing applications.

CoffeeSock started out small, as a family business, but slowly grew as the company's fan base grew.

Now, together with a crew of coffee lovers in our hometown of Austin, Texas, we are committed to changing the world one coffee break at a time.
All fabrics and threads are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and manufactured in Austin, Texas, from sewing to packaging.
The filter itself, as well as the coffee grounds and tea leaves, can be chopped into small pieces and returned to the earth when finished.

Our products are linked to efforts to reduce global waste and combat climate change.
We also support Food4Farmers and Grow Ahed through 1% for the Planet.

OUR TIPS

We drink a lot of coffee at home and used to use linen coffee filters. When we had the opportunity to see CoffeeSock's filters, we immediately wanted to use it because of how sturdy it is and how fine it was. This filter is very well made and worth a try! Enjoy your coffee at home!
