[BC Trips] Research Journal #1 - Paris
In order to understand more about sustainability in the world, we traveled to 4 countries, 7 cities in Europe (France, United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy) for 18 days.
First city was Paris, the capital of France.
One of the first thing we noticed was the amount of shared bicycles; not only that but they were all electric scooters that we often see in other countries as well. These vehicles do not emit CO2, so they are part of a sustainable lifestyle that considers the environment. This could be an effective project to adopt in Japan?
However, we did notice some bad manners by users. For instance, the scooters were left right in the middle of the street or some were thrown into the Seine river. It's a little sad to see these especially because the scooters are a great way to tackle environmental issues.
