Coffee is deeply rooted in many cultures and holds the status of the most popular drink worldwide. Global consumption is steadily rising, meaning that the coffee grounds, the remainders, are too. So, where do the coffee grounds end up? Is it possible to make preserve them? To find a sensible way to reuse them?
Product designer Julian Lechner was intrigued by the idea of creating something new and lasting out of waste and began experimenting with coffee grounds. Three years later, he discovered the unique formula: recycled coffee grounds and renewable raw materials were transformed into the durable, robust material Kaffeeform. Which then became the Kaffeeform cup.

Do you know what happens to the coffee extract from coffee shops you drink every day? They are all eventually discarded. This cup was made with new materials in consideration for the environment.
The color COFFEE GROUND is made from discarded coffee extracts collected from cafes in Berlin, Germany.
The Cap fully closes the Weducer Cup, turning it into a versatile companion to contain your favorite coffee, drinks or snacks. The screw cap opens and closes smoothly. A silicone ring prevents leaking, dripping or spilling. Just cap your cup, and off you go.
The innovative material developed by Kaffeeform is composed of used coffee grounds and other renewable resources. Thanks to its unique properties, Kaffeeform products are exceptionally durable and robust, but still very light. The marbled surface that resembles wood and the mild coffee aroma perfectly complete the design.
