RIMINI RIMINI BAGS started from a city on the Adriatic coast, in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. The materials they use to make the bags come from reclaimed beach parasol canvases that comes from the sea for repair. In their words, "Many are unusable for too much salt, sun and time spent on the beach. Much more are still beautiful, resistant with vivid colors. It is impossible for us to abandon them there and not to make objects that will bring with them forever the emotions of summer days and the pattern of colors, seen from above, dotting the Adriatic Riviera."
OUR TIPS
We visited and spent several days at Rimini in the summer of 2019. We were awestruck by the colorful and beautiful parasols lined up at the beach under the open blue sky, We think that the idea of upcycling using beach parasols is especially interesting as it is a part of the Rimini history and story, which makes it even more unique and something very personal to the city.

In collaboration with a company from Cesena, the umbrellas are reclaimed. Rimini Rimini Bags reclaims these umbrella canvases that for years have been by the sea to repair the bathers from the sun. Many are unusable for too much salt, sun and time spent on the beach but much more are still beautiful, resistant with vivid colors. The canvases are selected, washed and repaired to give you sustainable, durable and beautiful eco-friendly products. - The cutting method used makes sure there is no waste made from the fabric. Therefore the pattern may be slightly different even for the same color.
